At Gleek & Howard we have an unsurpassed Montclair optical pedigree.

Since at least the 1940’s there has been an Optician at our Montclair address. In the 1960’s the namesakes of Gleek and Howard opened their business here in downtown Montclair. In 1972, after some years of success, they decided to concentrate on their business in central Jersey. 

Bill Berk, who had been working in the industry throughout the New York/North Jersey area, seized upon the opportunity to buy the business and grow it with the town. Bill has since built Gleek & Howard into a Downtown Montclair institution. 

Since those early days Gleek & Howard has been known for its unrivaled service, selection and quality.
